i always try to dress up for my weddings and last weekend as i am walking away from the ceremony i lift my head to see another photographer photographing her bride and groom and she is wearing jeans, a puffy coat, and uggs. oh how i wished at that moment i was wearing that because i was cold . . . but wait. you can't wear "that" to a wedding or can you? this is the mystery.
remember i was in a dress because i want to look nice for my clients big day. however i get down on the ground to shoot some of my shots. not really appropriate in a dress if you ask me. besides the fact that i was freezing and my feet started to hurt.
i don't know if i am trying to justify my selfish desire for wanting to wear comfortable warm clothes but lets be honest. when your feet hurt, your cold, and your laying sideways on the ground in a dress taking a picture with potential that someone might see up your skirt . . . ITS ALL A DISTRACTION.
so i need all of your opinions. shabby or sheik. what to do.
i would love to wear a cute little number with some pointy toed shoes but i have to be real and honest with myself. for me that is not comfortable to work in for 8-12 hours. maybe fun for a couple hours, but not for my job. so sure a little j.crew or banana get up with slacks and a shirt sounds fabulous to me. does it to you?
would you be offended if i showed up to your wedding wearing pants? would you expect me to be in a dress? fancy? what type of ideas do you have? do i need to let my clients know what i am wearing so they are prepared and not offended?
all of my flat shoes aren't comfy. . . where to get some?
etc. etc. etc.
