Sweet Santa Barbara and FREedoM & sLUMbEr

Officially kicking off the new blog is a story about me and my remarkable experience this past weekend in Santa Barbara. The past few months, rut is the word I would use to describe what I have been feeling and with much anticipation I have been waiting for February to roll around. February = workshops and conferences which I have hoped will = inspiration and change. This last weekend was . . .THE FREEDOM AND SLUMBER with David Jay! Needless to say it = inspiration and big changes! I was able to be in the midst of incredibly talented photographers and was truly inspired beyond what I could have imagined. I don't know how I was so lucky and so blessed, but I have to say that I had an OVERWHELMING feeling of gratitude when I realized the weekend was coming to an end.

Justin Wesbrooks, Mark Dong, Josh Newton, Troy Grover, Ahmet Ze, Ashley Stephen, Kristin Renee, and myself were all the photographer attendees of the David Jay workshop. During the workshop we were able to be graced by the presence of Bobby and Lindsay Earle and Jasmine Star and her hubby JD.

David Jay fed me full of HELPFUL tips, information, instruction, and good company that has been a catalyst for changes that have already begun. Thank You DJ!

Jasmine Star shared her process of becoming an international wedding photography and talked about what she has made it all about . . . her personality.

Talking with DJ, Jasmine, JD, and The Fabulous Earles was really inspirational for me. The reason being is because I have compared myself to other photographers and the things that were discussed helped me put my talent into perspective. I am so grateful that I was able to meet these FABULOUS people and feel truly blessed. I for sure won't forget what I learned, the networks that were created, and the inspiration that I felt.
